If I were a monkey,
I'd swing from tall trees.
I'd be the swingingest monkey.
You'd never catch me!

I'd sleep under stars,
Away from honking cars,
Using my hands and feet
To grab tons of stuff to eat.

I wouldn't go to school.
 (He wouldn't go to school.)
I could just stay home and drool
 (Nothing better to do)
Or climb up the vines
And pick fresh clementines.
No, I wouldn't go to school.

If I was a monkey,
 (If he was a monkey,)
I would swing from tall trees.
(He just do what he please)
I'd be the swingingest monkey.
You'd never catch me!
No, you'd never catch me!

As a monkey I'd live in the jungle and eat lots of bugs.
I'd play all day with my monkey friends, doing funny dances,
Climbing up trees and picking bananas off branches.
I'd walk on an all fours and not worrying about anything!

If I was a monkey,
 (If he was a monkey,)
I would swing from tall trees.
 (But not throw his feces.)
I'd be the swingingest monkey.
You'd never catch me!
No, you'd never catch me!

Monkey solo!!

Monkey...

Meanwhile, back to the pros and cons of being a monkey:

Of course, video games would be out.
And that would make me monkey-konkey pout.
And my cell phone would be sorely missed,
Just like the watch not on my wrist.

I guess I'd miss my soft bed,
And no pillow for my monkey head.
Pizza, burgers, and French fries
Are only for the civilized.

Still, there are no monkey schools
Or really any monkey rules.
I'd be free from lots of stuff,
But being a monkey's also kind of tough.

If I were a monkey,
I'd swing from tall trees.
I'd be the swingingest monkey.
You'd never ever ever catch me.
